Our house history
Your host family Schuler, who can look back on 600 years of family history, has over the course of many decades created and shaped a hotel out of a 17th century Arlberg farmhouse. The hotel combines a down-to-earth feel and the latest standards of comfort with casual elegance and human warmth to create a uniquely pleasant ambience.
The ancestors of your hosts certainly chose the site for their house with great care. Protected by the mountain from behind, the view widens out over the valley – so you too can enjoy the magnificent mountain panorama during your winter holiday today. The name of the hotel refers, by the way, to the alpine plateau that can be seen directly from the building. Remodelling work for the first guest rooms began at the historic farmhouse in the 1920s, and the hotel on the piste was born! During the 1950s, expansion continued and a guesthouse with an bar licence was built.
The first documentary mention of the Schuler family in Lech dates from 1416. Members of the family have often willingly taken on leading roles in the community, contributing substantially to the development of tourism in Lech. Hospitality probably runs in the blood of the Schulers: even after so many generations, the family running this Arlberg hotel continues to offer heartfelt hospitality with conviction and passion.
